Suspended and Expired Teaching Status |
|
ACUC’s membership period runs from January 1st to December 31st yearly. Members who do not submit their Professional Registration form prior to January 1st have their teaching status suspended automatically until their dues are up to date. ACUC Leaders whose teaching status membership is expired or suspended for non payment of dues may not, at any time, contract ACUC programs with consumers. They may not supervise, train (directly or indirectly) or certify divers for ACUC. To do so is considered an ACUC Standards and Ethics violation and the matter will be dealt with accordingly. ACUC values the time and effort ACUC Leaders invest to become an ACUC Professional. We understand that certain life issues may prevent an individual from renewing their membership on time. Because of this we allow members to return to Active teaching status under the following conditions: ü If their membership is out of date by less than 12 months they need only to pay the fee indicated when they complete the current year’s Professional Registration Form. ü If the ACUC Leader’s membership is out of date for more than 12 months to less than 36 months the Leader is required to pay the current year’s charges indicated when they complete the Professional Registration Form plus pay an additional Administration fee. ü If the ACUC Leader’s membership is out of date for more than 36 months they must attend an ACUC Leadership Level Update Program and purchase a Leadership Level Kit. Upon completion of the program they may then submit the current year’s Professional Registration Form and pay the required fees and Administration charges.
