Professional Registration

Active Membership Status

All ACUC Leaders are required to carry Professional Liability Insurance, either personally or with a Group or Government Policy.  Professional Liability Insurance can only be obtained by leadership level members whose yearly membership dues are paid and up to date.  This is a policy of not only ACUC, but all Training Agencies and Insurance Providers operating in North America.

Active ACUC Leaders who reside in Canada, United States, Barbados and Jamaica:

ü Receive either a new certification card or “Active” sticker for their current certification card to indicate to consumers that they may conduct ACUC programs they are qualified to teach.

ü May supervise, train (directly or indirectly) and certify ACUC programs they are qualified for.

ü Have access to the ACUC Private Members web site—www.acuc.org

ü Have their contact information listed in the “Go Diving” section of the ACUC Web Site.

ü Use the ACUC Logo, banners and other advertising materials to promote ACUC programs they are conducting.

ü Purchase Training Materials from ACUC at a discounted rate.

ü Will be notified by ACUC North America office should any consumer contact ACUC for information on training programs in their area.
